Sensor Trash Can
This is a touchless automatic waste disposal bin designed for hygienic and contact-free operation using an integrated motion sensing system. It operates through an infrared proximity sensor module, which detects hand or object movement near the lid area and triggers automatic opening and closing mechanisms.
The bin body is constructed from high-density polypropylene (PP) plastic, selected for its chemical resistance, structural rigidity, and moisture tolerance. The material is lightweight yet durable, allowing repeated use in environments with frequent exposure to liquid waste or humidity.
The surface and internal structure are engineered with IPX5-rated water resistance protection, helping prevent damage from splashes and moisture exposure in typical indoor environments. The sealed electronic compartment isolates the sensor and motor components from external liquid intrusion.
Key structural and functional components include:
- Infrared motion sensor for automatic lid activation
- Motorized lid mechanism for smooth opening and closing cycles
- 16-liter internal waste chamber for medium-capacity storage
- Sealed electronic control unit with moisture protection design
- Removable inner bucket for easy waste disposal and cleaning
The lid system is driven by a low-noise electric motor and gear assembly, designed to provide controlled movement without abrupt mechanical impact. The sensor system is calibrated for short-range detection to prevent accidental activation.
The internal bucket is designed as a detachable liner system, allowing direct removal for cleaning and waste disposal without contacting the outer housing. The base structure is reinforced for stability during frequent lid operation cycles.
This unit is intended for automated waste management applications, using sensor-based control and sealed structural design to minimize direct contact with waste surfaces and improve hygiene in daily environments.
